Ultraviolet Water Steriliser – also known as UV Water Sanitization or UV for short, is an effective water treatment solution, used to sterilize water which has been contaminated with potentially harmful pathogens, such as E-Coli, Coliforms etc.
How does a UV sterilizer work?
The contaminated water travels through the Ultra Violet reactor, coming into contact with the quartz sleeve, which contains single, or multiple UV lamps. Ultra Violet rays then penetrate the passing water, destroying micro-organisms contaminating the water. Ultraviolet (UV) Water Sterilizers are widely used in water treatment application, they have been proven effective in the purification of borehole water, municipal water, rainwater and even water recycling applications.
